Research confirms - ignorance elicits confidence and assuredness
by A Paduan indarwin & others new this - research supports it - and shows that revealing the ignorance to the ignorant doesn't cure it .

Speaking lies is natural to them
by A Paduan init's no stretch - just part of regular speak.
got a knock at the door this morning - two guys (?elders) - first up i was shown a wt booklet and the opening line is, "we'd like to show you something from the bible.
it's not from us, it's from the bible"- all the while holding up the little wt book.. smiling, i said that i've read many bibles, and "i don't believe that's from the bible - you just think it is" - they didn't stay another second.. .

Why is it so - is it a social virus - or a stop-gap for a certain need ?
by A Paduan inthe org advertises, recruits, controls and damages it's own hosts in a mission of self-replication - utilising bent speech and lies to exist in the lives of others - having no life of it's own, but rather, a design to use others, without a self-awareness - what is that?.

The mind balks at accepting it's measure
by A Paduan inan interesting saying i heard the other day .
that the mind balks at accepting knowledge of great and irrevocable loss, though it be true.
it had me ponder how / why people make themselves stay as jws, and why "apostates" are such "bad association".

Do jws have to 'want' to believe it
by A Paduan inthere are so many flaws in every piece of literature that the wtbts puts out, so many false prophecies made and changed, such dubious and unsubstantiated beginnings to the group, and so many weird beliefs.. could you believe it without actually wanting to ?.
do you have to want to believe it to be a jw ?.

Re: spirit of disaster
by A Paduan ini was just reading a thread about how it was said "satan encouraged hitler mainly so that he would kill all the jws" and it occured to me.. it is known that jws are typically imagining that things of human notariety are somehow about themselves, but it's typically about disastorous things.. they don't seem to focus on wedging their brains into self-involvement with great human achievements - it's normally human disasters and tradgedies, or some bad thing being done to someone - perhaps it's the persecution complex thing.. and isn't that sort of grandiosity a plain out mental disorder?.

Is house to house knocking on every door a discreet way to serve ?
by A Paduan inthe faithful and discreet slave - support the pushing of literature through cracks in peoples doorways etc.
- perhaps the discreetness of jwism limited to hiding thoughts from ones' piers.
does the fds not include the r&f ?
